Our Refuge
“O Lord, You have been our refuge.”
Sisters, if we can learn anything from the current climate in America, I think one thing is for sure: the Lord is our only refuge.
The best place for us to place our hope is in Jesus. If we put it anywhere else, it’s misplaced. As much as we strive to follow our conscience and engage in politics to do our civic duty, we can’t place our hope in anything except for God. Nothing else and no-one else is perfect.
Our God is our refuge.
Our God is the only one who won’t let us down. Our God is the only truly safe space. Our God is our hope, and our God is the only one who loves us unconditionally.
Sisters, join me in continuing to pray for our communities, for our nation, and for our world. Join me in praying for the conversion of every heart. Join me in asking God to transform every single person into the best person that they can be and for every heart to find it’s home in Christ alone.
Father,
Heal our nation. Change and transform every heart. Open our hearts to Your love and Your presence.
Help us to find our home in Your arms. Help us to make a home for You in our hearts. Help us to find our refuge in You alone.
God, we love You. Come and save us. Amen.
