Enjoy Him
“Glorify the LORD, O Jerusalem; praise your God, O Zion.”
Sisters, there are so many reasons to praise God, to glorify Him. Just looking at the first reading, it’s so evident that God had a vision and a plan for our lives from the first. In His divine justice, He made a way to salvation and eternal life for us through His Son. He has always been generous with us.
Then, in the Gospel reading, our Jesus continues to demonstrate God’s generosity. He comes to bring peace and freedom and healing. He says, “I will do it. Be made clean.” And just like the leper, He speaks the same words to you.
He says, “Be made clean.” And so, you are.
Just like that, you’re made clean. You’re made new. You’re free. So enjoy it! Enjoy the freedom God offers you. Enjoy the freedom you’re so clearly meant to have. Soak up the goodness of God, and enjoy Him.
Enjoy Him.
Enjoy His goodness because you’re meant to. This Friday, turn up your music and dance a little. Let your heart be light - because He’s got it. Rejoice because our God is the best. He made a way when there was no way. He came after us, and He will keep coming. He is simply the best - the mightiest Savior, the kindest friend, the funnest accomplice, the most generous advocate, and the King of Glory.
He reigns powerful and glorious! He is the ultimate mover and shaker: even the mountains bow to Him, even the seas will still at His word. Nothing can stand against Him or even the mention of His name. So have a little fun this Friday. Enjoy Him for all that He is. Because He’s a lot to rejoice over.
Father,
Thank You for being a God who is so easy to honor. Thank You for winning. Thank You for victory over any foe. Thank You for love and for goodness and for truth.
God, help us to rejoice always, without ceasing. Help us to choose joy in every moment. Help us to choose to live the freedom that You’ve won for us.
God, we love You. Thank You for being the best God we could ever imagine. Amen.
