Be Magnified
“Their hearts were hardened.”
How often do I credit the good things in my life to be mere coincidence? How often do I ask God to show up, and when He does, I credit good luck? Why don’t I believe that when I ask, He will deliver? In little ways and big ways?
When Jesus walked on the water, the disciples were “completely astounded” because of the hardness of their hearts - they didn’t understand the loaves and the fishes, and so they didn’t expect God to demonstrate His glory by walking on water. They hadn’t turned their hearts towards God’s victory. Sisters, don’t make the same mistake -
Turn your heart towards God’s victory.
I don’t want to miss God’s glory in my life because my heart is too hard. I want my heart to look for God’s victory. Instead of writing off a miracle, I want to believe. Instead of looking for reasons for God’s glory to be diminished, I want to look for reasons for God’s glory to be magnified. I want my life to magnify God’s glory by always crediting the one responsible for every good thing.
This is just a theory, but - perhaps if I magnified Christ in the small things, He would work bigger miracles in my life knowing that He would get all the credit, knowing that He would be magnified. Like I said, this is just a theory - but what if it were true? What if I could offer myself as a better vessel for God to demonstrate His glory by magnifying Him in every small thing?
Father,
Thank You for living in us. Thank You for using us to show Your glory. Thank You for showing Your glory in this world.
Father, please help us to see You in every good thing. Please show us how to live with Your glory in mind. Please increase in us our thankfulness and our gratitude that we could better see Your hand in all things.
God, we love You. Help us to love You better. Amen.
