What I'd Do

“All the people were hanging on His words.”

Happy Friday, Sisters!  This Friday, I want to encourage you to hang on His words.  Let His words be the words that give you life, that offer you freedom, and that open your heart.

Last weekend, I had the privilege of speaking to a room full of awesome college students at the end of a retreat.  It was awesome to watch so many vibrant, fun, holy men and women give their lives to Jesus. My talk was the last of the retreat, and I got to talk about what I’d do if I were them - leaving this retreat and heading back into the real world.

While preparing for the talk, I quickly realized that I needed to be reminded and changed by this talk as well. Sisters, I want to hang on Jesus’s words. I hope this 40 min talk will help you do just that - so hit play, get ready for the day, and let some truth soak into your Friday morning!

Father,

Thank You for Your words.  Thank You for Your inspiration.  Thank You for the scriptures. Thank You for bringing Your love to life in us.  Thank You for worship and for freedom.

Father, help us to be better disciples.  Help us to build rhythms of life that support our relationship with You first.  Help us to put You first in all things. Give us belief in Your love and Your care.

Abba, we love You.  Help us to live for You.  Amen.

Say The Word recorded live from the Mt. of Beatitudes overlooking the Sea of Galilee. Another different take of the song with Jad leading this one. This one meant a lot to us as the whole album EMPIRES was written around the beatitudes - so to be standing where Jesus may have preached the greatest sermon of all was truly breathtaking.
