Do You Believe?

“Everything indeed is for you” 2 Cor 4:15

Do you believe it?  Do you believe that everything is for you?  Everything? Every single thing?

Even when you’re:

  • Standing beside your little sister as she gets married?

  • Experiencing your group of single friends shifting (aka disappearing)?

  • Attending social events by yourself?

  • Being passed over by the man who seems like the love of your life?

  • Finding yourself stuck in an awful job?

  • Visiting your best friend in the hospital after her first baby?

  • Opening a rejection email for that job, that conference, that master’s program?

  • Falling short of leadership roles?

  • Getting dumped?

  • Feeling “behind in life?”

  • Having no one to slow dance with at another wedding?

When you encounter adversity, do you believe that EVERYTHING is for you?

All the time? Even when you can’t see it? Do you truly believe that “EVERYTHING is for you” at every single moment?

If you do, you’re awesome and holy and this blog is probably not holy enough for you.  But for the rest of us mere mortals (myself included), we need an Advocate sometimes. We’re not meant to manage our lives on our own.

We’re given a Spirit of Faith for a reason.

We’re given a Spirit of Faith because we NEED it!

We NEED it!  We’re given a Spirit of Faith for the moments when we can’t get there on our own, when we need a boost from the Holy Spirit. Because our our faith fails - OFTEN.  Our belief isn’t big enough on it’s own.  We need Jesus. We need the Holy Spirit to fall on us, to give us faith to believe.

It’s through this Spirit of Faith that we can speak victory over the dreams that are yet to be fulfilled, that we can’t see yet.

To boldly proclaim our belief in the promises of God - our good, good Father who is FOR us.  “Everything indeed is FOR us.” Sisters, IT’S TIME to speak victory over the areas where there is fear, where there is ache, where there is loneliness.

To say - Father, I proclaim that someday,

  • My sister will stand for me when I enter a vocation.

  • My friends are not lost.  And for those that are, I will make new ones.

  • I will not always attend social events by myself.

  • I will not be passed over by the man who is the love of my life - especially if that’s You alone.

  • I will not always be stuck in an awful job.

  • My best friend will be there for me in the hospital.

  • I will be accepted to the right job, conference, or master’s program.

  • I will not fall short of the leadership roles You want me to take.

  • I won’t ever be dumped by You, and I won’t ever be dumped by the right man.

  • I am not “behind in life.”  I am right where You want me.

  • I will not dance alone.

Sisters - let’s be women who speak VICTORY. For we fight from victory. We fight battles that have already been won. Let’s welcome the Spirit of Faith into our hearts and lives today!

Father,

May we praise You before our breakthrough, before we see the victory that is coming.  Please send your Spirit of Faith to come and dwell in the places of our being that are heart-sore, to the places of our hearts that need restoration and renewal.

Holy Spirit, Spirit of Faith, Spirit of Life - we need You now more than ever. We need You more every. single. day. Please come and help us to speak victory over our challenging circumstances.  Please come with Your freedom and Your hope. Please come and heal the broken places. Help us to praise before our breakthrough.

Father, help us to praise You and thank You because You WILL do it, You’re going to do it.  Please send your Spirit of Faith to bolster our belief that “everything indeed is for us.”

Because You are a good Father who knows just how to love.
