Found Worthy

Woman Climber Bouldering

“Because God tried them and found them worthy of Himself.”

God tries the ones He loves.  If you weren’t worth the effort, He wouldn’t try you.  He wouldn’t test you if He wasn’t invested in you. The Father loves you and that’s why He allows trials into your life.  For the faithful, trials are offered as opportunities to engage our faith.

When we come up against hard things - difficult friendships, breakups, cultural unrest, illness or sickness, issues at work, loneliness, heavy familial challenges, etc. - we’re given opportunities to choose faith.  We can wallow in our situation. OR - we can activate our hope in the Father and push forward believing that He has a solution.

Our God makes the impossible possible.

In this life, we will see impossible situations and encounter disappointing circumstances, but our God is bigger.  He has solutions you haven’t imagined, and He’s rearranging conditions beyond your scope of knowledge.

Have you ever noticed how quickly God can take a messy situation and resolve it?  I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched God take a knotted circumstance and unravel it in a matter of minutes.  I’ve seen it happen with cars, with housing, with travel - just to name a few. God prepares for you; He shifts all the variables to make them work for you because...

God is ready for your trials.

Our God isn’t unprepared.  He’s not caught off guard. He works all things for our good. (Rom 8:28)  The moments when we encounter trials and challenges are the moments when we most need to engage our faith in that promise.

When I’m struggling, I need to read and re-read the scriptures on God’s faithfulness.  I have to choose belief. And when I choose to believe that our God is the God who can do the impossible, He finds me worthy of Himself.  But I have to choose it.

I have to choose faith.

I want to be a woman that chooses faith; I need to be a woman who chooses faith every day - no matter what’s going on.  Sisters, we need to be women who don’t crumple when we encounter challenges. We need to be women who are strong in their convictions.  We need to be women who see trials as opportunities for God to do incredible things.

I want to be a woman whose faith is activated in the face of trials.  I want to be a woman who isn’t phased by challenges because I trust that if God is allowing a trial, that means He’s about to show up.  I want to be a woman who is faithful and found worthy. Do you?

Father,

Thank You for offering us trials as opportunities to grow closer to You.  Thank You for transforming challenges into moments of glory.

Father, we’re grateful.  Even though it’s hard, we trust You.  We place our trust in You every day, in every circumstance, and in every trial.  Please help us to love You and trust You with every desire, challenge, joy, and hope we possess.

Jesus, help us to believe in Your active role in our lives.  You are a living God - never stagnant or boring. Remind us of Your power and Your glory - especially in the hard moments.

God, we love You.  Help us. We need You. Amen.
