“My Father...is greater than all,”

Our God is greater than all.  All things.  All people.  All nations.  All leaders.  All sickness.  All pain.  All uncertainty.  All disappointment.  All hurt.  All circumstances.  All finances.  All red tape.  All difficulties.  All burdens.  All relationships.  God is greater than all.

He reigns victorious over every difficulty in our lives, and He proves Himself faithful time and time again.  Sisters, this post doesn’t have any new news, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t need a reminder.

Our Father is greater than all.

He’s greater than all the other fathers, than all other gods.  For what other god calls His people His children.  What other god lays down His life for His people?  What other god is so humble or generous that He delights in mercy and kindness, that He works miracles at the request of His people?

Sisters, many of us are carrying something heavy during this time.  Whether it’s a challenging relationship, stress and anxiety over sickness, fear for a family member, uncertainty in your work situation, or loneliness in general - sheltering in place isn’t as easy as it sounded at the beginning.  But when things are looking bleak, you need only look up to see the One who is greater than all.

Father,

Thank You for being great, God.  Thank You for being greater than ALL, than everything.  Nothing compares to You God, and we’re so grateful for the way You love.

God, teach us how to lean on You.  Show us Your ways through the dark and heavy parts of life.  Lead us with You light and Your truth and Your peace.

Abba, we love You.  Thank You for Your ever-present greatness.  Amen.
